No Adobe MAX Europe in 2009

As many of you know Adobe MAX is the biggest event organized by Adobe. Until this year Adobe MAX had two locations in two different time intervals: one in North America and one in Europe. It is hard to say that this year Adobe MAX Europe won’t take place which is a sad thing.

Adobe MAX 2009 will take place in LA, California on 4-7 October 2009. Unfortunately for Europeans, there is a long way to Los Angeles and that includes time and lots of money on transportation. Adobe said…

we are actively exploring options to make the Los Angeles event more accessible for our worldwide community

…so we wait to see the solution to make this year’s Adobe MAX more accessible. Don’t know what the solution is but the main problem will be the price for the plain ticket and for people in some eastern countries getting the USA visa to be able to get into USA.

The event’s sessions will be recorded and published on Adobe TV and for sure they will have more online users compared with 2008. One good thing is that Adobe hope to return with Adobe MAX Europe in the next years.

Although there are not many comments on canceling the Adobe MAX Europe event I’m sure that this is because the announcement was not at all advertised, and I’m sure that programmers in Europe will be affected by this cancellation.

Please let your comments bellow whether you think is good or bad that Adobe MAX Europe was canceled.
