- File Reference runtime access - let users load files into RIAs
- Dynamic Sound Generation
- Large Bitmap Support - up to 16,777,216 pixels (4096 by 4096)
- Context Menu - more control available
- Last character set compliant - GB18030
- Ubuntu support
- Video4Linux v2 Support (V4L2)
- unloadAndStop - better garbage collection for SWF - see Grant Skinner’s article
