Flash Player 10 Beta 2 Released

What is new? To be short…

  • Fullscreen Keyboard Access - now you can catch key events for non-printing keys (arrows, shift, enter, tab, space, etc)
  • Enhanced Audio APIs
  • Linux WMODE - windowless mode for Linux
  • File Reference runtime access - let users load files into RIAs
  • Dynamic Sound Generation
  • Large Bitmap Support - up to 16,777,216 pixels (4096 by 4096)
  • Context Menu - more control available
  • Last character set compliant - GB18030
  • Ubuntu support
  • Video4Linux v2 Support (V4L2)
  • unloadAndStop - better garbage collection for SWF - see Grant Skinner’s article
